Ratings and reviews

I started with the lite version(no longer exists?) and I find pro to be even more helpful. No subs but there are one time payments for extentions if you want them. The main thing I use the app for is to quickly draw characters I don't know. It has been pretty consistent with most things and even with my awful handwriting can usually guess what it was I wanted to draw.

I have this on my Android phone and would LOVE to put it in my iPad but unfortunately it's not available on iOS, which is literally my only complaint. I am a huge fan of Chinese dramas and sometimes the available English translations are just awful. Hanping lets me write out an entire sentence in Chinese characters then translate. It doesn't translate the whole sentence but words and phrases, letting me figure out what's really being said. Love it!! Edit to add the support team is phenomenal.

This app is second to none. I bought it two years ago and paid for some extras. I have never seen a Chinese dictionary with such excellent connectivity to other apps. Especially Skritter. Its entries can be exported to many other apps. For me the portability to Skritter and Anki is very, very useful. I can very easily create a new personal Skritter deck from the Hanping app, and then add entries to it with only 2 clicks (one for export, the other for the app to export to).
