Just what I needed I haven't spoken/read Chinese for 10+ years after studying it in school. I was looking for an app with Traditional and Zhuyin options and finally found this app that offered both. I'm trying to pick up Chinese again... and the flash cards actually makes it fun. I'm able to customise what I want to review. When I was an actual student of Chinese, I hated taking the course. Now I'm trying to read through a novel and this is helping me.
Really good The basic app without paid features are already good enough. I paid for OCR features which is really great, since I don't need to write down every word that I don't understand and search them individually, and instead just need to screenshot it. It even auto classify if it's idioms, 词语, etc! It's so great!
Absolute Best Truly excellent. Screen reader button stays with you always so you can translate fast. Only features the app doesn't have that would be useful 1) is the ability to automatically strip out URL text from the screen reader results, 2)a persistent button (like the screen reader) that gives you the ability to switch back and forth between dictionary, would happily pay for those. Use this to learn Chinese, Android renders the text so much prettier than Windows, it's a much more engaging and enjoyable experience.
Awesome refrence The best dictionary I've ever used... Other dictionaries have more complicated hard words with even wrong meanings! But this, whoah this is a totally different experience Thanks so much!
Essential tool for learning Chinese I use this all the time. My children are learning Mandarin in Saturday school. I use this to check I am pronouncing things right; Stroke order for writing practice; Flashcards for practicing reading. I have purchased the Cantonese pack too.
Saved my life to some degree whilst in China but terrible for translating normal conversation or if you need anything. Need a basic understanding of Chinese for app to be really effective.
