About this app

Enduring Word exists to promote the work of Christian discipleship and evangelism worldwide, mainly through the publication and dissemination of the Bible teaching work of David Guzik and likeminded people.

When David Guzik was a young pastor in Simi Valley, California, he (among many other pastors) was asked to send his teaching notes to the developers of a new internet Bible research site: Blue Letter Bible. In the late 1990’s, David’s material first appeared on the Blue Letter Bible, and was found to be a valuable resource.

David’s Bible resources – both in text and through audio and video – are used by many thousands of people every day. Many pastors, Bible teachers, and everyday Christians find these materials helpful.

Now you can take the Enduring Word Commentary with you on your mobile device.

I love this commentary. There's so much I can learn with this app. Thank you to the developers, for all their hard work, it truly shows. However, (as some other reviews have suggested & I concur with all the suggestions that were given), I still have one more, if I may. It would be absolutely perfect if along with the other suggestions, you could add this in audio form for people such as myself that struggle with wondering minds. Reading & hearing it makes for a greater level of comprehension.

To listen to the commentary, press MORE tab, then scroll and press "Commentary Audio Version". When you select the book you are studying, the teaching chapters are displayed. You can also google "Enduring Word Commentary" in the podcast app. The next app release has an integrated listening option. Blessings.

Great, useful & reliable commentary. Some features could be improved though. 1. Opening the upper right corner buttons (font, bookmarks) takes time. It'd be better if it would open up as quickly as possible. 2. Bookmarks are only for a whole chapter. Bookmarking a section/portion of a chapter would be great. 3. Getting back from where the user left/last read after closing the app would be awesome, too.

Those are great suggestions. Two features are already on our future development list: BOOKMARK at the book/chapter/verse with a note; and returning to the place you left off once app is closed. We will look into the performance issues. Feel free to send feedback using the button towards the bottom of the home page. Blessings.

Loooove this app! It's not the only commentary I use, but I do use this one the most simply because of how detailed it is and how it incorporates quotes from other authors as well. I'd really like to see a highlight feature be added though, and a separate tab to keep track of all the passages/ verses we've marked off/ highlighted. Other than that, my heart is so grateful for this wonderful app. ❤️✨

Thanks. The feature to bookmark/highlight verses with notes is on our future development list. In the mean time, try this: Use a long press to select and copy a passage. Paste it into a separate word or notepad document. Make an additional notes. You have your own Bible study journal. Please use Home page -> Feedback with additional suggestions

What's new

The 2.4.8 release enhances "Give us your feedback" on the Home screen and "Contact Technical Support" on the More screen. If the EW app is not able to use the default email app on your device it opens the device web browser and goes to the "Contact Enduring Word" page on the EW website.
