Ratings and reviews

Good app to have if you need a second number fast for work purposes or personal reasons. However, there are caveats to it. 1) You get ads popping up after almost every call. 2) Certain features are only given once subscribed to 'lock in' for $1.99 Per Week. 3) If your job requires lots of calls, you will temporarily have your number dropped/suspended while free. 4) Latest bug includes freezing mid-call and won't hang up until you uninstall-reinstall the app.

About 2 years ago, I tried the app first for about a month under a trial basis before I decided to get the SIM. I usually use TextNow as a second line as my main # has limited talk (some people are just so chatty, you can't even get a word in edgewise!). The whole experience is simply wonderful and love the fact that you only pay a one time fee for the SIM card. You can use the cell practically anywhere in the US... without wifi! Get the SIM if you're "on the go and always moving"-it's worth it!

genuinely used to love this app. I should've never gotten the Sim Card because yes, now I feel entitled to reliability. I just saw that there was an update on the 7th, good to know because since the 7th I've been having issues picking up calls ( I literally have to call people back) and calling out (It indicates that I need to end a current call). it doesn't matter if it was 6 hours or 3 days since my last call. I guess I got what I paid for. Luckily, texts are still solid.

What’s new

We did a little fine-tuning this time around to squash some bugs and fix a few crashes. Nothing major, but you might notice things running more smoothly.
