About this app

TelephoEny replaces your phone's dialler with something you can actually see. Your contacts appear as large photo tiles instead of a list of small grey text, so you find the right person by looking rather than by squinting.

WHO IT IS FOR
Anyone who finds the standard phone app too small or too crowded — older users, people with low vision, and anyone who would rather tap a face than read a list.

BIG, VISUAL CONTACTS
• Contacts shown as large photos you can recognise at a glance
• A favourites view for the people you call most
• Search by name as you type
• Text size you can turn up across the whole app
• Number types labelled plainly: mobile, home, work, main, fax, pager and more

CALLING
• A keypad with big, easy targets
• A full in-call screen with speaker and mute
• Dual SIM: choose which SIM calls out, once or by default
• Conference calls — merge people in, drop one, see who is on hold
• Automatic redial, for as many attempts as you choose
• Ring timer, and vibration when a call connects and when it ends
• Ringer volume lowered automatically
• The screen goes dark in your pocket while it rings, and against your ear during the call

CALL NOTICES FROM THE NETWORK
When the network tells your phone something — the person you called is already on another call, your call was diverted, the other side put you on hold — TelephoEny puts it on the screen and leaves it there, instead of flashing it for a second and losing it.

THE CALLER'S NAME, READ ALOUD
• The name of whoever is ringing is spoken out loud
• Reading speed you can set
• Speaks the languages the app supports
• Names are cached, so a caller is recognised even before you unlock after a restart

CALL LOG AND STATISTICS
• Your call history inside the app, with incoming, outgoing, and missed clearly apart
• Call counts and durations, for today and in total
• Today's calls, total calls and your contact count on the home screen
• Export the call log to a file
• Clear the system's missed-call notifications in one tap

BLOCKING AND FILTERING
• Build your own lists of people
• A block list
• Accept calls only from one chosen list, or reject just one list
• Reject unknown numbers and numbers that withhold their caller ID
• Calls are filtered before the phone even rings

WHATSAPP
• Open a WhatsApp conversation straight from a contact
• Find out which of your contacts are on WhatsApp

SHARING
• Send a contact as a vCard or as plain text
• Choose which of their numbers to include, with or without the photo

MAKE IT YOURS
• Pick a colour, or mix your own in the colour maker
• Separate colours for text and background
• Dark mode

NEW IN THIS VERSION
• Simple interface — a stripped-back screen of very large contact cards with one button to call and one to hear the name read aloud, plus missed or recent calls right there in the list
• Home screen widgets — one contact, their photo and name, one tap to call, in your choice of four sizes; they work even before the first unlock after a restart
• Backup and restore — save every contact to a .vcf file, photos included, share it anywhere, and restore it later while skipping the ones you already have
Call by tapping a face. Big photo contacts, large keypad, spoken caller name.
