About this app

Scanly turns your phone camera into a document scanner. Point it at an ID card, a passport, a receipt or a contract and you get a clean, straightened PDF in two taps. Then lift the words out with text recognition, sign it, protect it with a password and send it. All of it happens on the phone, with no account and no subscription.

What you can scan
• ID cards — front and back captured one after the other and placed together on a single A4 page, the way an office asks for them
• Passports — a viewfinder shaped to the passport page, so the whole spread fits
• Receipts — long narrow slips kept straight and readable instead of squashed
• Documents — contracts, forms, invoices, letters, homework, handwritten notes
• Books and whiteboards — pages shot at an angle, corrected flat again
• QR codes and barcodes — every read saved to a history you can search

Two taps to a clean page
Open the camera and the edges are found for you, the perspective is corrected and the page is cropped. Each mode frames what it was built for, so a card comes out card-shaped and a receipt stays legible.

The ID card mode people actually ask for
Shoot the front, shoot the back, and both sides land on one page, centred and to scale, with nothing shaved off the edges. That is the single file a school, a landlord, a bank or a visa office wants — one export instead of two loose photos.

Text recognition, Latin scripts and beyond
Tap Extract Text on any page and the words become selectable and copyable. The language is detected for you. Latin-alphabet languages are covered — English, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and the rest — alongside dedicated recognition for Hindi, Korean, Japanese and Chinese in both simplified and traditional form. Recognition runs on the device, so it works with no signal and nothing is uploaded anywhere.

Sign exactly where it belongs
Draw a signature with your finger and drop it anywhere on the page. Pinch to zoom for precision on dense forms — leases, employment contracts, school and visa applications. Add a date stamp beside it. Password-protected files can be signed too.

QR code and barcode reader
Point at a code and it resolves: links open, Wi-Fi credentials connect in a tap, plain text lands on the clipboard. Every scan is kept in History so you can find it later. Reads QR, EAN, UPC and ISBN.

Protect a file with AES-256
Put a password on a document before you send it. Received a locked contract? Unlock it once and it opens straight away next time.

Merge, convert, read
Join several files into one, turn gallery photos into a PDF, invert colours to read dark scans comfortably, and open everything in a built-in reader with a dark theme. Share to WhatsApp, Telegram, Gmail or Drive through the normal Android share sheet.

One-time Pro, never a subscription
The basic tier covers everyday scanning and is supported by light ads. Pro removes every ad and lifts the limits: unlimited text recognition, unlimited signing, a full QR history, batch actions and no watermark. You pay a single time, in your own currency. Nothing renews and nothing is billed again.

Small, quick, offline
A light download that opens immediately and behaves on older phones. Scanning, signing, reading and sharing all work with no connection. Files stay in your own storage.

Interface in 12 languages
English, Arabic, German, Spanish, French, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil), Vietnamese and Simplified Chinese, with the Arabic layout mirrored right to left.

• Photos on Android 13 and above — only the images you pick yourself
