This app has great potential, but I feel it falls short. As a basic budgeting tool it really shines. It's intuitive and simple to create a budget. Where it lacks is in its ability to help you reconcile your transactions. Even with their plus feature you can add a bank account, but then you end up with duplicate transactions if you enter any manually. If you simply rely on the synced transactions then it's not a big deal, but in a household with multiple users you can't do business like that.
I think everydollar is great. It looks smooth and is organized well. My family doesn't really use the $10 upgrade, but if we had more trouble keeping track, I think it would be well worth it. We set up our budget on a computer each month and then keep track on our phones every time we spend something. I have 0 complaints.
The app is convenient and has a great interface. The only thing I've found so far that I would like is when you have savings categories (other than emergency fund) I'd like a way to keep track of how much for that particular category you've saved so far from month to month. I have to keep a separate memo on my phone with how much for each savings goal if I am cash flowing multiple items.
The app is really fun and easy to use. There is a desktop version and they break down your expenses so it's easy to see where you're spending your money. I have a hard time inputting my transactions right away but the plus version has an automatic option. Excited for plus to launch in Canada so I can actually link it to my bank account and be better at tracking everything.
I enjoy using EveryDollar for budgeting. It's easy, simple to use, and gets the job done. I just wish there were a few improvements to deserve 5 stars. One huge thing is I wish there was the ability to carryover a balance between months without having to make everything a fund. I also wish there was the capability to reflect insurance payments over 6 months like Mint does. Mint takes the monthly cost out of your spendable income so you "can't" use it and then expects you to pay the full amount every 6 months. Those are two major things that are making it hard to fully commit to EveryDollar. I also with there were some small reports similar to the weekly report that Mint generates, but something like that would probably be in the paid version and right now we can't afford that.
Big negative. For pro users, if your bank is not listed, somehow 10 others need to request that bank in order for it to be added (Which isn't fair for smaller banks). Otherwise, can't view transactions on app. Easy tool you need to get yourself on track! Dave Ramsey changes lives, for the better!!
- EveryDollar Pro users can now enable or disable transaction sync per bank account.
- Fixes a bug that caused some users to need to sign-in too often.
- Other fixes and improvements.
Manage your personal finances and easily track your money, expenses, budget.
