KerfMap is a focused 1D cut-list planner for lumber, trim, pipe, tube, bar, rod, and profile stock. Add your available lengths and required pieces, account for kerf and end trim, then review how each piece is assigned before you start work.

CLEAR 1D CUT PLANS

See every used stock length as a scaled diagram. Part labels, lengths, cut sequence, kerf, trims, reusable offcuts, other remainder, and unplaced pieces remain visible instead of being hidden behind a single total.

USE THE STOCK YOU HAVE

Enter multiple stock lengths with finite quantities, including available offcuts. Set a minimum reusable-offcut length so the plan distinguishes useful remnants from other remainder.

METRIC OR IMPERIAL

Work in millimeters, decimal inches, common inch fractions, or feet-and-inch notation. KerfMap keeps the calculation model consistent throughout each project.

KERF AND END TRIM

Record the blade or tool kerf and the trim allowance at each end. The result screen and PDF repeat the exact values used. Kerf is reserved once after every placed part, including the last part.

HONEST RESULT STATUS

KerfMap ranks candidate plans by used stock count, then total stock length, then existing offcuts when those values tie. Only a completed exact proof is labeled Proven optimal. Other complete results are labeled Best plan found. If a bounded search does not place every part, KerfMap says Search incomplete instead of claiming that the entered stock cannot work.

LOCAL PROJECTS

Create, edit, duplicate, delete, save, and reopen projects on your device. KerfMap works without an account or cloud sync.

PDF CUT SHEETS

Save a US Letter or A4 PDF through the system document picker, or share a temporary PDF copy through the system share sheet. The PDF includes plan status, assumptions, scaled cut maps, parts, unplaced pieces, optional project notes, and the safety reminder.

HOW TO USE KERFMAP

1. Create a project and choose your units.
2. Add stock lengths, quantities, and available offcuts.
3. Add part labels, lengths, and quantities.
4. Set kerf, end trim, and the reusable-offcut threshold.
5. Build the plan and review every stock diagram and unplaced part.
6. Save or share a PDF only when you choose.

KerfMap plans straight 1D lengths only. It does not calculate sheet layouts, angles, structural capacity, material strength, or machine toolpaths.

Improves local-save reliability during rapid edits and app backgrounding. Long PDF cut sheets now wrap and paginate labels, notes, sequences, and unplaced parts. Share PDF uses a unique temporary copy and later attempts to remove copies older than 24 hours. Stale plans must be optimized again before export. Optimize stays visible while editing; validation focus, 200% text, dialogs, TalkBack labels, system-bar contrast, and physical cut-map order are improved.
