The professional altimeter with automatic altitude detection that works even without an internet connection!

With the professional altimeter app, you can find out the actual altitude of the place where you are. The app automatically displays the altitude using a complex algorithm that combines three measurement methods:

* Through satellite triangulation (also works without an internet connection)
* Through map altitude, retrieving the terrain elevation for your location
* Through the pressure sensor (if available), calibrated using the nearest weather station

Carefully designed from a graphical perspective, the app recreates an analog altimeter (in meters or feet) with a digital measurement display.

This altimeter assumes you are an altimeter savant. It tells you things in meters with no choice of options. It asks questions without a place to answer. It jumps right into sharing photos as if the mastery is already there, and I couldn't even get a reading. It launches without the participant. I couldn't spend time on it because it's for experts. It even told me that I could put in my altitude so I could calibrate... I do not know my altitude! That's why I wanted the app!

Battery drain. This app wants to access your location every few seconds. This excessive desire for location drains the battery at an unacceptable level and additionally doesn't seem to pick up where it left off. An incredibily inefficent app. It also doesn't accept GPS battery savings options installed on your phone - thinks the GPS is unavailable. Could be useful but it's been uninstalled. Only the addition of an option to adjust the time between pings would make me install this again.

Was Nice Until The Full-Screen Ads Hit. I like the app overall. It has a fairly easy to use and understand layout. The only thing that didn't seem to work correctly is the altimeter "reset" button. It would reset to zero and then a second or two later go right back to the previous altimeter reading, leaving you without a way to track the difference in change. I understand having the banner ads at the bottom of the screen but the full page ads along with their sounds are too much. Uninstalling.
