EquiPick is a free Android app designed for education professionals.

Its purpose is simple: help teachers and trainers select students more fairly, while supporting everyday attention to gender equality in the classroom.

Research in education shows that speaking time and teacher attention are not always distributed evenly in class. It also suggests that, especially in science-related subjects, boys may be called on more often, encouraged more often, or receive feedback more frequently than other genders. EquiPick offers a simple, practical, and non-judgmental way to make participation more balanced over time.

With EquiPick, you can:
• create, edit, and delete classes;
• add, edit, and remove students;
• import student lists from a CSV file;
• run a quick and readable random draw;
• balance participation over time;
• support a fairer balance between genders whenever possible.

EquiPick is not based on raw randomness alone. The app takes previous selections into account so that students who have been picked less often are more likely to be selected next.
