LocalInk is a private, offline diary and journal for everyday thoughts, memories and reflection. Write without an account or ads, and keep your journal on your device.
Write without advertising, analytics, or a journal cloud. Your entries are encrypted on your Android device, and journal data leaves LocalInk only when you choose to create an export or portable backup.
Core journaling is free:
• Create text entries with titles and journal dates.
• Return to your writing through Today, Calendar, Library, or private on-device search.
• Review basic writing statistics and previous versions of edited entries.
• Recover entries from Trash.
• Create a complete, readable HTML journal report.
• Create and restore verified LocalInk backups.
• Choose System, Light, or Dark appearance.
• Optionally protect the app with Android system authentication.
LocalInk Pro is one optional lifetime purchase—no subscription and no ads. It adds:
• Optional moods and reusable tags.
• Mood, tag, and writing-pattern insights calculated on your device.
• Mood and tag filters for Library and Search.
• A designed PDF journal with date-range and content options.
• Optional mood and tag context in HTML reports.
Privacy is part of the product:
• Journal content is stored locally in an encrypted SQLCipher database.
• Encryption keys are protected by Android Keystore.
• LocalInk has no journal server, account system, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK.
• Backups and readable exports are created only when you choose a destination through Android's system file picker.
Readable HTML and PDF exports are not encrypted and cannot be imported back into LocalInk. Use a verified `.localink` backup when you need to restore or move your journal.
Google Play handles Pro purchases and shows the price and currency for your market before purchase. Pro can be restored on devices using the same eligible Google Play account.
