The words “Movies” and “Cinema” are synonymous with Ster-Kinekor. Experience great movie entertainment for your family on three experiential cinema platforms - Cine Prestige, IMAX and SK commercial. Ster-Kinekor pioneered cinema concepts such as Cinema Nouveau, one of the world’s largest dedicated art-house multiplex circuits, and the luxurious Cine Prestige theatres, the first ‘business class’ cinema experience in South Africa.

This app allows you to book a ticket to experience your favourite movies on the different cinema experiences, by selecting a movie, cinema or show type.

Ratings and reviews

Booking tickets on this app is smooth and easy, but I've had ongoing issues. Previously had trouble logging in and accessing tickets, that got resolved. However, I've been trying to get a refund for over 3 weeks now with no help, despite calling and emailing support. The app also doesn't show any confirmation that a refund request was made, so you can't track its status. Please add refund confirmations in-app and fix support response times.

It is a struggle to use the app and it is not iser friendly. The old app was much better.. When you make a booking (signed in) it does not recognize the loyalty cards and it does not allocate discounts for Tuesday movies. Payment is even more of a struggle. It is not worth trying to book a movie so we rather stay away from SK.

The loading of and editing of credit card details is extremely frustrating. No access to all my digital cards on Google Pay, I try to load a physical credit card but every time you want to go back to your cart the app tries to process the payment and then deletes your entire cart. I've had to go through the movie and seat selection process like 4 times already. This is really bad engineering and the developers should hang their heads in shame.
