An update that may be helpful to some. If you are using a Z-fold and cannot access Zelle, run the app on the external screen. The problem appears to be connected to the large screen. When it runs on a normal size phone screen, the Zelle button reappears. Hope this helps.

Recently the app started popping up and error "Unauthorized network location". It seems to be doing this because I use a (device-local) VPN for ad blocking. Disabling this VPN is the only way to remove the error. This is ridiculous. It bans connections purely based on the fact that a VPN is in use. My VPN is used to make my connection MORE secure by ensuring that unwanted advertiser content does not load on my device! Please consider removing this misfeature. Edit: the app is still doing this.

[Update 12/13/23 new error "Unauthorized network location"] "System is not responding, try again later" for last month even after force stopping and deleting cache and data. The app is adequate when I can actually open it. And it figures the one feature that I need most to use, Zelle, doesn't seem to exist on the web potal. Not sure how convenient an account can be when using its services is thwarted by a malfunctioning app (Update: get same error on different phone/location/network)
