Review from Jacob Kelly
Run keeper Pretty decent app. Very happy with it. Notifications come in over music as u run
Works great. Love the encouragement. It's like a virtual high five when I go a little farther or faster. Since I don't really have any running friends to celebrate with, I adore these virtual posts on the back. They encourage me to keep going, even if it seems hard to get up on the dark and cold or summer's heat. I wish there was a way to do intervals and see place inside the interval instead of just by mile /over a graph. Looking for a program that does this well. (The one I used to use ceased after an update.)
The app is pretty nice. I only use the free version right now. I used it on a half marathon last week. It worked out pretty nicely. I do like that you can make custom workouts with intervals in the free version. I did have to contact customer support, because a map went missing in the app. They were able to restore the map. They were pretty quick to respond.
Not perfect, but really good. Logs all kinds of exercise, not just running. Collects meaningful data from hr monitor and GPS, or just hr monitor. Use with a schosche rythym plus. Website and training plans are a little confusing. Custom workout plans are great. Customer support is helpful if needed. UI in website is a little confusing, particularly nomenclature. Good app. Would like to see certain interface improvements, but as of right now I'm happy.
Runkeeper used to be a fantastic app. Kept accurate logs of my runs. This was great. However, something has changed. It now takes 5 to 10 minutes to accurately track, if it even does. Lots of black screens and pop ups saying app is not responding. Have sent multiple reports to runkeeper with no resolution. I am done with runkeeper now.
I use it to record my walks. Latest version has crashed on a number of occasions losing the current walk. If you switch to another app and then back to Runkeeper it takes around 20 secs for the app to update itself so that you can view current stats or mark the exercise as complete. Fix these 2 issues and is happily revise my review to 5 stars.
Love the app but as of a month ago Runkeeper has stopped saving or prevented me from being able to share photos of my runs (these still appear when I try to edit the run on my phone, but hidden when I try editing on a PC). Phone is fine, permissions all there and latest version of app. After trying to edit and save any changes, the photos are hidden again. Very frustrating - is this a known issue?
Introducing a brand new Android Wear 2.0 experience! Leave your phone at home. You can now track a run with a GPS-enabled watch alone.
All stats tracked with your watch will sync with the app on your phone. That means you’ll be able to see mapped routes after you save.
