Review from Hammon Russell
Good app Only wish it updated food lists more. And I wish building food items such a subway sandwich didn't take 15 trips to get ingredients all entered. Other than that easiest way I have ever lost weight. Thanks.
I've just bought the premium version and I think it's a pretty good app. I live in Australia and find it does recognise some bar codes here. I do wish it would talk to my Samsung Gear app though, because I track my steps on my watch. If the Lose It app is relying on my phone for steps it will be way off, as I don't carry my phone with me everywhere - sometimes it's in my bag or on my desk or sitting on a coffee table, for example. Otherwise it would be good if I could turn off the app's step counter because it's simply inaccurate.
I really like it but I have a galaxy phone and most of the good features don't work on my phone for some reason. it doesn't let me edit my account (it just says continuously loading) and no camera feature. it works well just for calories though.
Too many items in database with incorrect information. Would love to see it track how much food you are eating in each food group especially fruits and vegetables, and then compare it to recommended values based on gender, age etc.
This app is organized poorly, and the free version doesn't have much functionality. There are quite a few food items in the app database, which is good, but I found many of them conflicted with the packaging. But the worst part is, the target daily calories for weight loss are WAY off. When I compared them to several medical sources, my calorie consumption needs to be 300 calories per day LESS than what Lose It gave me. Which may explain why in three weeks of tracking and staying under the Lose It target for a 1 pound per week loss, I lost 0 weight.
Fantastic free app for losing weight. Has a huge database of foods that helps you keep track of what calories you are having and helps you keep within your budget for losing weight. Also has a premium version which I don't use but the free version has really helped me get well on the way to my goals.
The app seems great, but when I reviewed other sources for calorie goals nothing matched what is given in this app; this app seems to allow too many calories and so if followed exactly would probably not produce the expected results. Though you can get some results with this app, I had to switch to MyFitnessPal since I have more faith in their numbers, and they have all the same features.
What's a snowman's favorite cereal?
Since last year, we've fixed some crashes, addressed minor issues, and added a cute lil' date adornment to the previous meals icons. Partially to help you figure out which day the meal is from, and partially because tiny things are adorable.
Let's keep those resolutions strong, Lose It! fam!
Stay in control and make smart and satisfying food choices anytime & anywhere.
