I love the New York Mysteries series because I can always enjoy their stories. This app keeps bugging, though. The cut scenes only show a black screen and the hints only tell you to go backwards instead of pointing you where you need to go on the map so you never to go through several to get just one clue. Not to mention that the map button is right next to the clue button so you're bound to make one unauthorized use.

Thrilled to fi d an inventory-based puzzle game with a good story that will run on my phone. And this series really is free to play if puzzles, logic, and thinking outside the box with your inventory items is your cup of tea. My only problem, since I'm playing on my phone, is that periodically, the puzzles will assume you can see the artwork more clearly than you really can. Plan to play all of them and hope they develop more! Plus they provide their own walkthrough!

I really enjoy these games, I cannot find others that I enjoy as much (and I'd like a change!) The story tends to be superfluous, be better if there were hints in the reading to make it more interesting. Also, you really need to take notes to remember where all the unfinished things are the bits are toomfar apart otherwise. To me they should be within one or two maptiles, forward or back. I really don't want to take notes. or, a task list that tracks open bits and as you finish they fall off
