I don't know about the app because I never could get my identity verified, but the customer service was outstanding! I had a gift card that it looked like I wouldn't be able to use, I emailed CS, they emailed back in under an hour and told me to expect an email from the third party who handles the gift cards within a week. I received the email the very next day, answered a couple of questions, and my gift card amount was refunded within minutes! I could barely believe it! A+ on your CS!

I was a regular user and big fan of Fold for a long time but recently I purchased a couple of their "Bitcoin Gift Cards." When I went to redeem one of them, the app slapped a 15% "processing fee" on top! The thing that bothers me the most is that this fee was NOT disclosed when purchasing the gift card. Not happy.

I used to love Fold, but the rewards just keep getting squeezed more and more. I always went for 2-3% rewards by optimizing my spins and saving for big purchases. Now, it's the 1% base rate plus some change. The Amazon gift card lost its 5% back and they still haven't gotten ACH rewards in place. If you have car payments, a mortgage, or other payments that you can pay with PayPal, that's great, you can get the rewards, but most (in my experience) rely on ACH only. So much squandered potential.
