About this app

Half-reps don't count. Cadence is a camera-based rep counter for seven bodyweight exercises: it watches through your phone's camera and credits a rep only when you actually finish it — push-ups, pull-ups, dips, squats, crunches, glute bridges, and a plank timer that stops when you drop.

No gym. No equipment. No account. Just you, the floor, and a 30-day challenge.

HOW IT WORKS
Prop your phone up, step into frame, and start your workout. On-device pose detection counts strict reps and times your holds in real time. On push-ups and plank it also watches your form and calls out corrections the moment it slips.

WHY THE COUNT IS HONEST
Cadence sets a depth floor for each exercise: a rep that doesn't travel far enough is never credited, because a counter that credits every wobble isn't measuring anything. On push-ups it goes further and stops counting the moment you leave the position — standing up to reach your phone doesn't quietly add five reps to your set.

SEVEN BODYWEIGHT EXERCISES
• Push-ups — rep counting + real-time form correction
• Plank — hold timer + alignment feedback
• Pull-ups — automatic rep counting
• Dips — automatic rep counting
• Squats — automatic rep counting
• Crunches (abs) — automatic rep counting
• Glute bridges — automatic rep counting

Form coaching covers push-ups and plank. The other five are counted, not graded — and Cadence tells you so on screen instead of showing you a score it never measured.

WHAT YOU WORKED
Cadence's home-screen body map lights up the muscles today's workout actually hit, front and back: chest, lats, biceps, triceps, shoulders, abs, quads, glutes, hamstrings. Your 30-day ring, your best day and a 30-day curve sit next to it.

THE 30-DAY CHALLENGE
Cadence tracks a 30-day streak: hit your daily goal and it grows, miss a day and it breaks. Discipline beats motivation — that's the point. A 30-day calendar and a workout tracker keep you honest.

CHALLENGE YOUR FRIENDS
Join a group and settle it. Live 1v1 duels put you and an opponent on the same 60-second clock and the most reps wins — on push-ups, a rep finished while your form slipped is worth less than a clean one. Plank duels have no clock at all: they run until both holds break, and the longest hold wins.

Not free at the same time? Send an async challenge: you do your 60 seconds, your score is sealed, and neither of you sees the other's number until they've done theirs. Leaderboards are per exercise — worldwide, and one inside every group you create.

VOICE COACH
Cadence counts out loud and names the fault — "tuck your hips in", "head up" — so you can keep your eyes on the floor instead of on the screen. It ducks your music while it speaks, and a correction is never dropped in favour of a rep count. Turn it off in Profile.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Works with any phone camera — no watch, no band, no chest strap
• Set your own daily goal per exercise, or switch a movement off entirely
• A daily reminder that moves to the hour you actually train
• Pull-ups and dips need a bar; the other five need nothing but the floor

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your camera feed never leaves your phone. All pose detection runs 100% on-device — no video or image is ever recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. Your workouts, your streak and your history stay on your device. Only duels, challenges and leaderboards need a connection, and you can train without an account at all.

FREE
Cadence is free: every exercise, every feature. No locked content, no ads, no subscription.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Does it work offline? Rep counting, form coaching and your streak need no connection — pose detection runs on your phone. Duels, challenges and leaderboards do.
Do I need an account? No. You can train without one. An account is only for duels and challenges.
Does it record video? No. No image or video is ever recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
Which exercises get form correction? Push-ups and plank. The other five are counted, not graded.
Camera push-up counter, plank timer, squats, pull-ups. Half-reps don't count.

What’s new

The daily reminder, asked for properly.

The end of setup now asks Android for the reminder permission directly, once, and the plan screen tells you the hour it will arrive at. No step twice over.

Also: lines that ran off the edge on a narrow screen or at large text sizes — the calories row, the height label, your goal after a session — now fit.
