I still use the previous foscam app to view my pan/tilt camera, so not sure why they could not carry on adapting that. Anyway this app has a cleaner look and adds some useful things mainly under subscription (rich media images etc). What would be useful is a away to adjust the cameras colour balance on the app. Not sure why but with a subscription I cannot view my camera live when not connected too home wifi but I can using OWLR foscam app?
App works great. Easy setup of additonal cameras. Would be nice to be able to view recorded video directly from app. I have it saving to my own NAS device. Speaking of which.... I have already declined cloud service. I bought your cameras and am using your app which should be a given without the constant ads. Quit hounding me to buy cloud service. Shouldn't be punished for using your product.
Piece of junk. Just a scam for making money after trial period ends. No control of views no saving to own device. Worthless unless you sit and stare at camera all day. Camera fails to connect 90% of the time. No support and the worst interactive software on the market. Sorry I. bought a foscam piece of junk!
I have this app working with 3 Foscam C1's. Would be better if I can get timeline view for SD videos. Currently their timeline view only works with their subscription service. At $5 per month per camera, that's too expensive. Nest offers are superior video quality and A.I. tech for only $10 per month per camera (then $5 for each additional camera).
App rarely logs in to work. Constantly telling me its offline. How does one write an app without testing it on multiple platforms. I dont get it. The main problem is app rarely works when on data plan, only connects via home wifi. No sure why they don't fix this huge issue.
Originally, app was working well and did what I needed. Prior to update, setting up the camera was easy via WiFi, but when I had to change the network and rest the camera, it only let me set up via Lan. A problem, but I was able to make due, more stable connection with Lan anyway. After the update, I can no longer view the livestream on outside networks. I can view it on the same home network, but that doesn't help when you are away from home. Because of this issue with the livestream on outside networks, I can no longer record live video to my phone or take snapshots. Also, can no longer speak through the camera. I checked the camera firmware, and it was up to date. The cloud recording is still viewable on outside networks, but that is limited as sometimes video playback becomes broken and only sound can be heard. Is the issue of the viewing the livestream on outside networks a known issue? And will it be corrected in a future update? Will change rating once app becomes fully functional again.
