About this app

The FreeStyle LibreLink app is approved for use with FreeStyle Libre and FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors. You can now measure your glucose level by scanning your sensor with your smartphone, or use FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors to additionally receive alerts when your glucose level is too high or too low.[1] [2]

You can use the FreeStyle LibreLink app to:

* Display your current glucose value, trend arrow and glucose history
* When using FreeStyle Libre 2 sensors receive alerts when your glucose levels are too high or too low[2]
* View reports such as time in target range and daily patterns
* Sharing your information with your doctor and family (with your consent)

USE OF APP AND READER WITH THE SAME SENSOR
Alarms can only be issued on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or only on your smartphone (not both). To receive alarms on your smartphone, you must start the sensor with the app. To receive alerts on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader, you must start the sensor with your reader. Once the sensor has been started via the reader, you can also scan this sensor with your smartphone.

Remember that the app and the reader do not share data with each other. To get the full information on one device, scan your sensor every 8 hours with that device; otherwise your reports will not contain all the data. You can upload and view data from all your devices on LibreView.com.

I have used the app for around two years. It was great until the last updates of my phone. After the second last update, I had to scan the sensor from the home screen to get it to work, so not opening the app. It made an inconvenient sound, impossible to remove, but I could live with it. After the last update, it tells me I can only scan from the app, and when I do that it beeps endlessly without doing anything. So the app simply became useless due to these software updates.

Great app, works fine until.... It tells me that my sensor has ended. But the scanner still works. Now i can't use the app to scan and the app doesn't talk to the scanner so it again has a gap in data. Can you build in communication between the app and the scanner? The app has way better options than the scanner has. Development needed please.

It is a pity it can't be customized. For instance, I'm working hard to keep my blood sugar level close to 100, but the app shows the graph from 50 to 350 anyway. I'd like to change that and see, for instance, only from 50 to 150. Also, the 100 mg/dL horizontal line on the graph is disappears when the percentiles curves are a bit on it, because they have the same color. I'd like to at least be able to see the 100 line. Make it a different color. Any little incentive is a big deal in the fight.
