The app stopped working on my android tablet. Otherwise, I support local press.

Update 06-12-20 The Bee used to be free to read via Android. I was wondering when it would change. Changed during COVID-19. The Bee said it would allow free news regarding Covid, the Bee picks and chooses the free news. I would subscribe but at $15.99 a month news on my phone are you serious? You are not using printing presses or killing trees which is costly when using computers. Besides you hired 3 new reporters. I can read the same news free from other sources.

The Bee isn't a good enough paper to warrant a subscription, so using this somewhat convoluted and mangled app is not worth the time or money.
