About this app

Wake up to the sound of nature with the Woodland Alarm Clock. Rise gently to a Northern Cardinal's cheerful song, the sound of gently falling rain, or a Canadian Loon's otherworldly wail. Or, become wide awake to the punctuated territorial calls of the Pileated Woodpecker.

A woodland scene of your choice slowly brightens, simulating a transition from night to day. Meanwhile the bird song gradually intensifies, bringing you reliably to wakefulness without a startling jolt.

- 25 alarm tones of birdsongs and other nature sounds, some loud, some soft
- 45 pictures of beautiful forest scenery
- Check your next alarm at-a-glance with optional Widgets and Notifications
- Wake-up light alarm simulates the morning sunrise

Dozens of bird songs and backgrounds are included, but if you want, you can choose music and pictures from your own media library.

- Learn to identify common birds by song
- Experience the sights and sounds of nature when you're stuck indoors
- Cats and dogs love it!

All photographs were taken by the author, and most are taken in Minnesota parks.

Genuinely has a mind of its own. Sometimes it goes off, sometimes it doesn't. I don't think it's capable of handling multiple alarms in one day, and I say this as someone who doesn't use the snooze button. Randomly deactivates the current day or other days on an alarm. Today it created two duplicate alarms for a random time completely unprompted. I've made sure to grant every permission or exception I could and even locked my phone with the app open to no avail. It's nice but too unreliable.

Love it! I truly wake to this thinking nature is calling me awake and it takes me a minute to realize it's my alarm! It's dependable! It starts low and slowly gets louder and it doesn't jolt me awake (except for the blue Jays! They need to fly south!). The pictures are nice but I don't need them and the ads are tiny. There are no annoying notifications. Thank you for a great app. I've been using it for a while.

** Not working currently. Have contacted the dev several times. Not connecting to download bird songs and the app crashes as the alarm goes off so it does not produce sound. :( Seriously one of my favorites apps previously. Please fix! Great app! Really brings me back to the memories of waking up at my grandparents house in the woods. Plus the little cardinal button is way cute!
