Used to be a fantastic app. A recent update caused several issues: 1. The lights don't click, so the sound has to be on. 2. The ads have gotten worse, to the point where they even have audio. I only use this app while making music, so why would you have audio-enabled apps? 3. Some of the ads are also clearly spam. I can't attach the photo, but I have a screenshot of an ad that is definitely trying to lure unsuspecting users into clicking on it under the guise of a weather warning. 4. It no longer supports split screen functionality, so I can't have it open with my tuner app anymore. This used to be the best metronome app I could find, but I'm deleting it because it has gotten unacceptably worse.
I have been using this app since 2012 and it was more than adequate to get me through college as a Music Major. As a professional musician and educator, it is present in my practice sessions, lessons and private instruction. This is an excellent app that I highly recommend.
To many ads
THE most important thing for a metronome is to be on time and this one isn't. I've tested the app on my iPad and it's perfect, plus it's a better app overall, thus, my go-to app. I've tested also 7Metronome for Android and it's a lot better. (All apps tested with Cubase on PC.)
Only criticism is that it lacks a 7/8 time signature. At least you've got 5 and 9 though...
Not possible to set Tempo by name directly (aka Adagio etc)
