Used this app to test Microsoft Defender. This app (and Defender!) both work perfectly! As soon as you install this, your AV app should say that it has detected a malicious threat and offer to remove it for you. Your reaction might be "Yikes! I've downloaded malware!" Relax, you haven't! Unlike the Trojan files (named after the 'horse') used to enter unprotected systems and unleash the malware they contain, the F-secure 'trojan' is like an empty box with a horse drawn on it. It's safe! 👍

hello. there are many people who are saying that this app is a virus because their antivirus detected it. this app is meant SPECIFICALLY using the EICAR file that real antiviruses purposefully treat as malware. this is not a virus, this is meant to test if your antivirus is working properly. NOTE FROM USER: please, this is not a virus. this is meant SPECIFICALLY to test if your antivirus is working properly or not utilizing the EICAR file.

READ ME! This app is a HARMLESS virus. Its purpose is to check if your Anti-Virus you ALREADY have installed is working. It is quite clear that people complaining it's a virus don't read descriptions before downloading apps. That is YOUR fault and is not best practice. Read app descriptions and check permissions BEFORE YOU DOWNLOAD! Sheesh........ come on people. Smh....
