About this app

FUJIFILM XApp is an app. provided by Fujifilm Corporation. Once users pair a Fujifilm digital camera with their smartphone or tablet via Bluetooth®, they can transfer captured images and movies to their smartphone or tablet, control the camera remotely, backup and restore camera settings, synchronize date, time, and location, and update firmware.
The Wi-Fi function of smartphones or tablets is also used for transferring captured images and videos, and updating firmware.
In addition, by signing in to Fujifilm's network service, daily shooting activities using the camera can be automatically summarized in a diary format.
This service is useful for reviewing their photographic activities and improving their photographic skills.

[Note]
The FUJIFILM XApp uses the GPS function of the smartphone/tablet continuously in the background, which may consume a large amount of battery power in your smartphone/tablet.
To reduce battery consumption, please go to "Settings" of FUJIFILM XApp and set the "Location synchronization interval" to a longer interval.

Ratings and reviews

Great app, specially after the new update, everything is just so much easier than before. The only thing I would like to change is having a full screen landscape preview mode instead of what it is right now. The big black empty region just bothers me. If this update comes, I could technically use my old phone as a monitor and save some money 🤑. Overall it is a solid app!

I upgraded my XT-4's firmware and downloaded the app . It's more intutive than camera remote but the live shooting doesn't work at all. It says the communication has been severed and there is an endless waiting wheel. So basically it doesn't function as a live shooting thing, and have to stick to the unreliable camera remote. I use an ASUS Rog 5.

Much better than the old app. I had some problems connecting to WiFi. Solved it by enabling tethering hardware acceleration under developer options --> networking. Additionally, I had to disable all VPN connections. I dont like, that I can only log in using a 3rd party account.
