About this app

What's wrong with my plant?

Every grower asks it, usually standing over a yellow leaf wondering if it's too much water or too little. Photograph the plant and Tendra gives you a disease diagnosis in seconds. It ranks the likely causes by probability, so you can see which fix to try first.

Tendra is a full plant care app: disease diagnosis, care reminders that adapt to your conditions, a garden journal that remembers what you did last season, and variety data right down to the individual cultivar. That last part is the one most apps don't have.

DIAGNOSE PLANT DISEASE
Yellow leaves alone have four or five common causes, and the fixes contradict each other. More nitrogen, or less water? Guess wrong and you can lose weeks.
• Photo diagnosis for plant disease, pests, and nutrient deficiencies
• Causes ranked by likelihood, organic treatments first
• Steps to treat it and stop it reaching the next plant
• Catch plant disease while it's still a few leaves

YOUR GARDEN JOURNAL, PLUS CARE REMINDERS THAT ADAPT
By February you can't remember when the figs woke up or which tomato actually produced. A journal you keep fixes that, and the reminders handle the part you forget.
• Plant care reminders that adjust to where a plant lives: more water in full sun, less for one in a humid bathroom
• Watering, feeding, and pruning schedules set per plant
• Log what you did and what happened, with photos from cutting to harvest
• Your whole care history on one timeline, so last year is there when you need it

WHICH TOMATO ARE YOU GROWING?
Other plant apps identify a species and stop there. Tendra knows the cultivars underneath, and they don't behave alike: a Cherokee Purple tomato and a Sungold want different things, and a Black Madeira fig keeps its own calendar.
• Variety data across fruits and vegetables: tomatoes, cucumbers, watermelon, zucchini, eggplant, peppers, figs, citrus, avocado, mango, dragon fruit, and more
• 140+ dragon fruit varieties alone, each with its own profile
• Pollination partners, harvest windows, flavor, and growth habit, variety by variety
• Disease resistance by cultivar, so you can pick the tougher ones
• The kind of variety detail you usually dig out of forums at midnight

TRACK DRAGON FRUIT, BUD TO HARVEST
A dragon fruit flower opens for one night. Miss it and you miss the pollination, and the fruit with it, so the timing is the whole game.
• Log buds, blooms, and harvests in a few taps, as simple counts
• Expected bloom and harvest dates built from your own records: Tendra averages how long each variety actually takes in your yard, and tightens the estimate every time you log one
• A reminder the night your buds are due to open, so you are there to hand-pollinate
• Bloom and harvest heatmaps that show which months your plants flower and fruit

SHARE WHAT YOU GROW
If you grow something rare, help keep it going.
• Document heirloom cultivars and where yours came from
• Pass varieties to growers who'll keep them alive
A Plant Exchange for trading cuttings, scions, and seeds with nearby growers is on the way. Early members get in first.

And yes, there's a plant identifier. Point the camera, get a name and a care guide. It's quick and built in. But plant ID is everywhere now, so we'd rather be the app you open after the photo.

WHO IT'S FOR
It's for vegetable gardeners tired of mystery failures, fruit tree growers juggling figs and citrus and the odd avocado, houseplant people somewhere between their first pothos and a full shelf, and collectors who already think in cultivar names. If you want better plant care and a garden journal you'll open in January, start here.

Download Tendra, and make this the season you keep.
