About this app

Simple Music Player Offline plays music files that are already stored on your device. It does not stream, it does not search for music online, and it has no internet permission at all.

No ads, no tracking, no sign-up, no network access.

I built this player for myself, because most of them bury a simple task under a giant album cover and features I never use. If you just want to open the app and listen to your own files, offline, this one is for you.

🎵 LIBRARY
- Browse by tracks, folders, artists, albums or genres
- Real folder browsing, the way the files actually sit on your storage
- Exclude folders you do not want in the library

▶️ PLAYBACK
- Play queue you can reorder and clean up
- Shuffle and repeat
- Equalizer, built-in or the system one
- Playback speed control
- Sleep timer
- Lyrics on a separate screen, view and edit

✏️ TAGS
- Edit title, artist, album, genre, lyrics and cover art
- Rename an artist, album or genre across all of its tracks at once

🗂 PLAYLISTS
- Local playlists: create, rename, delete, reorder tracks

🔔 ON YOUR DEVICE
- Home screen widgets
- Android Auto
- Dark theme and color themes

🔒 FULLY OFFLINE
This app has no internet permission. It cannot connect to the network, so it cannot show ads, track you, or send your data anywhere, even by mistake. Nothing to trust me on: Android shows you the permissions, and there is no network one.

- No ads
- No analytics, no tracking, no data collection
- No account needed to play your own music
- Works with airplane mode on, forever

📖 SOURCE CODE
This build is fully open source. Its code, known issues and development plans are public on GitHub.

☁️ NEED THE SAME LIBRARY ON SEVERAL DEVICES?
There is also the main Simple Music Player, which can optionally sync your library through a cloud storage. It is the same player, plus opt-in cloud sync. If you want your music offline and nothing else, stay here.

🌍 TRANSLATIONS
All translations are made by users, through Crowdin. If you spot a mistake or want to translate the app into your language, there is a short guide on GitHub.
