Currently: A complete mess. Has game breaking bugs that are getting close to two years old. Devs allow people to cheat/exploit (As long as it's not in raids.) CS is very... untrained. Doesn't even know how the game works, common abbreviations and copy pastes instructions on how to solve problems. Or gives useless platitude without even reading the ticket. They DO have CS that knows what they are doing. But you may have to try 2-3 times before you get anywhere. And the response times are usually ~2 days. So... timed, limited events, that bug every. single. time, goes unanswered until the event has ended. On which: They often ask you to go back into the now closed event. People have purchased characters that are unusable due to bugs. And, all GLU does is push new characters without fixing the old ones. While refusing to really acknowledge the bugs. Or give affirmation that they are aware of them. There's no "Known bugs" or list on when they might be addressed. It is a bit janky to get into. But once you get past the forced tutorial, it's pretty fun. Confusing to learn. But easy to play. Which, does kinda suck. As: It's a great game premise. Just executed poorly. Beware though: the "free gems" surveys. Many of them are fake and only waste your time. Some do work. But you need to trail and error to know which. Resources have horrible game design. And nothing has been done for years about it with no ways to obtain them. For example: You're expected to have around 3-5 full teams by mid-game... you're not even allowed to have ONE full team due to how bad the resource bottlenecks are. It's a game that has gone overboard with macrotransactions. And gatekeeps even the most basic QoL.
