GME is a fintech Super App designed to provide financial services for foreigners living in Korea. Since launching as a cross-border money transfer service in 2016, GME has expanded into multiple financial services to make daily life easier and more convenient.

Permissions

Required Permission

Phone — Used to verify your mobile phone number for mobile transportation services in collaboration with EZL Co., Ltd.

Optional Permissions

Storage and Media — Used to upload documents for identity verification and download receipts or transaction records.

Location — Used to confirm your address during registration.

Contacts — Used to select phone numbers when sending mobile top-ups. GME uses the Android Contact Picker and does not retain your contact list.

Camera — Used for ID verification face verification.

Privacy

GME uses personal information only for the stated purposes and with user consent.

Loan Disclosure

GME acts as a loan facilitator in cooperation with GME Finance (Business Registration No. 646-88-01104, License No. 2019-금감원-1801), regulated by the Financial Supervisory Service (http://www.fss.or.kr).

GME does not directly enter into loan contracts. Loan reviews and agreements are conducted by affiliated financial institutions.

• Loan Limit: 2,000,000 KRW – 50,000,000 KRW
• Loan Period: 6 – 120 months
• Interest Rate Range: 9.05% – 20.0% annually within legal limits

Representative Example:

For a 2,000,000 KRW loan at 20.0% annual interest over 12 months, the total repayment amount is approximately 2,223,228 KRW (185,269 KRW/month).

Ratings and reviews

Why is your chat bot is limited there are no options of typing anywhere. Well, I tried to log in, and I forgot the password, so I went to forget the password option, and when I entered my user, I'd it say contact to the service center. Again, I think that my id has not been registered, but when i try to register, it says the username already used.

Pretty bad. Setting up was more difficult than it should have been, at one point the customer service person asked me for my password so he could log in (which I said no). Eventually when it was setup I couldn't get money sent to the account tried a few times then gave up because I had better ways.

Instant remit with fantastic gift reward for users. Transaction fee is better than most remit apps I've used in the past. Suitable for both local and international transactions. I strongly recommend. However, it's only available in 49 countries at the moment. Count yourself lucky if your country is among.
