OFFLINE CHAT, NO INTERNET NEEDED
Locus is an offline chat app. It finds people over Bluetooth, phone to phone, and works without internet, without wifi and without mobile data. Dead signal at the venue, data run out, airplane mode crowd, network outage - Bluetooth chat still works. No Wi-Fi router, no SIM, no account needed to start. When you do have a connection, your messages also reach people who have moved out of range.
HOW A MATCH WORKS
You see who else has Locus open nearby. Tap Connect on someone. If they connect back, it's a match - and only then can either of you send a message. No cold DMs. No inbox full of strangers.

Locus is built to meet new people in the place you are actually in. Nearby chat, local chat, chat with strangers who are in the same room, queue or carriage as you. Everyone you see is within Bluetooth range right now - not a profile from three cities away.
ANONYMOUS BY DEFAULT
Start with a name you invent and an emoji. Nobody sees your number or your email. Sign in with Google or your phone number only if you want a Verified badge - it stays optional, and that badge is all it is used for.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
- Chats are end-to-end encrypted. Keys never leave your phone.
- Nobody sees who liked whom. Only mutual connections are ever revealed.
- Nobody is shown your location - proximity is simply Bluetooth radio range.
- Block or report anyone, instantly.
- Wipe every trace of yourself from the app in a single tap.
