About this app

Gocycle Connect is the companion app for Gocycle where you can register and configure your Gocycle, change riding modes, use the live dash, review service data and view support pages.

GOCYCLE
• Check your battery life.
• See the total distance ridden on the Gocycle.
• Change your riding mode between 4 preset modes Eco, City, Turbo and Demand.
• Create up to 2 custom modes to suit your riding style. Choose when the assistance starts and maximum assistance is provided.
• View hints and tips for getting the most out of your Gocycle.
• Perform self-help diagnostics checks.

RIDES
• Use your device as a Live Dash to see information from the Gocycle when riding when connected using Bluetooth.
• See your speed, motor power usage, distance, DRL*, current gear*.
• Change your riding mode. (Can only be adjusted when stationary).
• Control the integrated lights*.

MORE
• View your Service history and rate completed services.
• Use the support section to find articles, manuals and contact us if you need further assistance.
• Change the distance units for the app.

Dreadful. Agree with other users on here. Fails to connect to bike 3" away, freezes after virtually every entry, keeps asking me to register the bike I've had for three years., and turns itself off for no apparent reason at inopportune times. It would be bad enough if I were sat at my pc, but everything has to be done when connected to the bike - circular problem if you can't connect in the first place. Old version worked flawlessly. Very frustrated.

Gocycle makes excellent bicycles and I really love my Gocycle. But this app is pretty bad, and I wish users weren't forced to use it to get any functionality from the bike. The app is clunky, difficult to navigate, and hard to understand why certain options are available while others aren't. You have to use this app to "activate" your bike EVERY TIME YOU INSTALL THE APP -- not just once per frame number. If you get a new phone, reinstall the app, want your partner or friend to be able to use it, or whatever. And activating the bike involves waiting for a confirmation email -- that sometimes never comes (happened to me) -- and clicking on a link to activate. Worse yet, at some point over the past weekend the app somehow swapped out the firmware on my bike to the EU version instead of the North American that had been installed. It forced my bike to top out at 15mph speeds instead of 20mph. This is the brave new world of bicycling: manufacturers forcing crappy software on its users and then botching firmware updates.

App just had a major update but the new version seems even worse than the old one. Most of the time it is unable to connect to the gocycle. Much fiddling around with power-cycling the gocycle and force closing the app and restarting then sometimes it will connect. Any cycle ride in which you want to adjust the settings now has a very frustrating start... this is really spoiling the whole gocycle experience for us (two gocycle G4i owners). Update 04/05/24: Still finding new problems. :-(
