Hanzy Study helps you learn Mandarin Chinese vocabulary through seven connected study modes — and every study feature works offline.
Cards — spaced-repetition flashcards that bring a word back right before you would forget it. Each card shows the simplified character, tone-marked pinyin and a translation.
Write — stroke-order practice on the screen. Watch each character animate stroke by stroke, trace it with your finger, then test yourself in Blind mode with no outline to follow.
Words — the full course list with pinyin, meaning and audio. Tap any word to hear it, and mark the ones you already know.
Quiz — the meaning stays hidden so you can self-test: tap to reveal, then mark know or do not know.
Memory — a matching game that pairs characters with their pinyin, turning review into play.
Tones — ear training: hear a character and tap its tone (ā á ǎ à).
