The “City Islamabad App” is the government service provider smart phone mobile application, developed exclusively for the citizens of Islamabad. The app bridges the gap between citizens and government departments by offering regulatory, consumer utilities and statutory services. At present, it has 7 sections and 44 services. The sections include e-police, Excise and Taxation, Capital Development Authority/Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, City Guide, ICT Administration, Notifications, and featured services with multiple services like Domicile Certificate, International Driving Permit, Corruption, Accident, Token Tax Payment, Emergency Numbers and Vehicle Registration, within each section.

The app is designed poorly, it doesn't allow us to set a password of our desired length so we are forced to set up a password that can be easily forgotten, which is what happened to me, now I'm trying to use the forget password option and as soon as I enter my CNIC number, the app gives me 500 Server error, please fix the forget password function of the app so that people can regain access and use the app. I have sent a complaint using the internal feedback channel within the app too. Thanks.

This is one of the worst and most useless apps ever created. It feels like it was designed to make users suffer instead of helping them. The app doesn’t even allow you to set a proper password length — it forces you to use a short password like we are living in the 1990s. Then after a few days, it randomly logs you out and asks for the password again. How is anyone supposed to remember a password when the app keeps forcing restrictions. Now display the server is down message and internal server.

The App opens fine, but the internal menu is completely invisible. It seems the features have been taken down or unavailable for some reason. This makes navigating the app very disappointing and results in a frustrating user experience. I hope the developers address this issue soon.
