About this app

■ Four calculations

[Offset]
For a two-fitting offset: the travel (centre to centre), the run, and the length of pipe you actually cut. It subtracts the fitting takeout, so the cut length is the number you mark. Angles 45°, 30°, 60°, 22.5°, 11.25°, or type your own.

[Rolling offset]
When the run both rolls and rises: the true offset and the roll angle. The angle is shown measured from the horizontal AND from the vertical, so you do not roll it the wrong way.

[Mitered pipe]
The cut line as a table of ordinates: distance around the circumference and depth from the base line. You choose how many stations.

[Lateral / fishmouth]
The branch cut for a lateral or a tee, given the same way — ordinates from a base line.

• **No standards tables.** You enter the OD and the takeout you measured yourself, so it fits whatever material and maker you have in your hand.

**The drawings on screen and in the saved image are NOT to scale (not 1:1).** They are scaled to the width of the page or the screen. They are not meant to be wrapped around a pipe and traced. **What you transfer to the pipe are the figures printed below the drawing.**

Results are theoretical values from the dimensions you enter. Pipe OD and wall tolerance, how it is cut and bevelled, the real size of the fittings, and weld shrinkage all change the figures on site. A cut cannot be undone — always check on the actual material before cutting. This app does not decide compliance with any law, standard or in-house specification.

What’s new

First release. Four pipe calculations: offset (travel, run and cut length for a two-fitting offset), rolling offset (the true roll angle when it rolls and rises), mitered pipe, and lateral or fishmouth cuts. Miters and laterals come out as a table of ordinates from a base line, so you can mark straight onto the pipe with no paper. You enter the fitting takeout you measured yourself; there are no standards tables. Everything runs on your device with no network.
