The tools you need before you cut, not after you regret it.

[Cut list]
Enter the parts you want and it works out how many sheets you need and where to cut them. It draws the cut lines with a numbered sequence, so you can show it straight to the cutting desk. Metric sheets (910×1820mm and friends), MDF, OSB, pegboard, pine glulam, and the 4×8ft standard are built in. Dimensional lumber (1×4, 2×4 and the rest) is handled too. The saw kerf is subtracted, so nothing comes up short when you actually cut. Parts that must keep their grain direction are never rotated.
[Shelf sag]
Will that shelf droop under books? Double the span and it sags more than eight times as much; double the thickness and it sags an eighth as much — so stretching it by 10cm changes everything. Intuition simply does not work here. Enter span, depth, thickness, material and load, and you get the sag in millimetres and whether it will actually look bent. If it will, you also get the fix: use a board this thick, or bring the supports this close.
[Pilot hole and screw]
Split wood almost always means a missing pilot hole. Enter the screw gauge and the board thicknesses and you get the pilot hole size, the clearance hole for the near board, the screw length, how far it bites into the receiving board, and how far to stay from the edge. It warns you when the receiving board is too thin, when the screw will come out the back, and when you are close to an edge.

How heavy will the finished piece be? Worth knowing before you find out you cannot lift it on your own. (It does not assess walls, studs or anchor capacity.)
[Miter angle]
Cut angles, saw settings and side lengths for frames and polygons. This comes from geometry, so it is exact.
[Offcut stock]
Save the offcuts from a cut list straight into your stock, then search it before buying anything. The more you use it, the less you buy.
[Project notes]
Keep photos and notes of what you built — your own dimension book. Photos stay on your device and are never uploaded (up to 20, limited by on-device storage).
■ This app only shows numbers that do not change
Material prices and cutting fees differ by store and drift over time, so we do not put them front and centre. What you get is what physics and standards decide: how many sheets, how many cuts, how many millimetres of sag, what pilot hole, how many kilos, what angle. The same answers ten years from now. If you know your own store's prices, you can type them in and get a cost estimate as an extra.

Inches and fractions (3/4, 1 1/2), switchable in settings. Save the cut diagram as an image to show at the store. Save work under a name, import and export CSV. Edge banding: the cut size is reduced by the tape thickness and the length you need is shown. Screws by gauge (#6, #8), bits in 1/64 in, and offcuts now carry a thickness.

A banner, and nothing else. No full-screen ad interrupts your work — least of all at the moment you are reading your result.

Material properties are widely published typical values and vary with origin and moisture content even within one species. The sag calculation assumes a board simply resting on two supports. Brackets and dowels help, but boards keep sagging over time (creep) and that can outweigh the benefit — “it is fixed down, so it is safe” does not follow. The figure shown is a long-term estimate that already includes that ageing. This app gives guidance only and does not guarantee strength or safety. Do not use it for shelves people will stand or climb on, for ceiling or wall structural members, or anywhere load-bearing or seismic performance is required; consult a qualified architect or structural engineer for those. Build at your own discretion and responsibility.
