Decibel Meter turns your phone into a quick way to check how loud a place really is.

Tap Start and you see the current sound level in dB with a live spectrum. End the session and the app keeps the average, peak and minimum values, the duration and the audio it recorded, so you can go back and compare later.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Live dB reading with a spectrum that reacts to the room
• Save a session together with its audio and stats
• Review every session in History and replay the recording
• Generate a PDF report from a session, or attach one you already have
• Take a scene photo with the time, place and reading printed on it
• Calibrate the offset so readings sit closer to a reference meter
• Compare a reading with familiar places: library, office, traffic, construction

WHERE PEOPLE USE IT
• Noise from renovation, machines or the road outside
• Talking to a neighbour, a landlord or a building manager with something concrete
• Checking whether a bedroom or study is quiet enough
• Comparing two rooms, or the same room before and after a change

EVERYTHING STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
Recordings, reports and photos are saved on the device. The app does not upload them.

PERMISSIONS
• Microphone: needed to measure sound. Keep the app in the foreground while measuring.
• Camera and location: used only when you take a scene photo with the reading on it.

PLEASE NOTE
Readings come from your phone's microphone, so they vary between devices and are affected by cases, dust and system audio processing. Calibration helps, but the numbers and reports are for reference and comparison only. They do not replace a calibrated sound level meter or a certified test report.
