The fact the app exists is great The one unforgivable issue is that if you accidentally tap a different quest, you lose all progress without even being prompted to ensure this is what you want. Either give a prompt or track progress separately for each quest. Luckily I'd taken a picture of the board. It does a good job at the basics. I'm not sure why the app does a good job of tracking spell damage but won't do the same for attacks. And it would be great if it tracked inventory, gold, etc.

I love it, I just wish you could play with more heroes instead of just 4. we play d and d 5e also, but we all would like to play hero quest together also. there are 10 of us, it would be great to split up and cover different areas. there are plenty of characters now. I just got jungles of delthrak. can't wait to play. we played this back in the 80's, I'm so glad you brought it back. P.S. if you play thru a Nintendo switch portable dock from Amazon, the video and sound work flawlessly. welcome

I have been enjoying the opportunity to play solo -- my wife isn't interested and my cats are a little TOO interested! 😆 I have not had any of the glitches or issues that previous reviews have mentioned. However, in one of the original quests, my dwarf is still standing in a room, having been turned into stone (supposedly "for 5 turns"). I have no idea how to free him. His name is Thrymm, and he'd love to be able to swing his newly-purchased battle axe again!

What’s new

HeroQuest players, we have updated the Companion App to now include the 2025 GenCon Exclusive quest: Dread on the Horizon. Pray, take your leave and investigate the ruins of a tower overlooking the World’s End Mountains.—but steel yourself for unseen peril. Uncover who or
what has taken root in the tower and eradicate it… before it becomes an even graver threat.
