Meet your new Game Master. The free HeroQuest Companion App allows you to run your next tabletop game session so everyone can play as heroes! The app takes on the role of Zargon using the onscreen quest map.

Additional features include:
• Narrated quest instructions, sound effects, and dungeon atmosphere

• Quest events are tracked along with game progress
• Players can record character Mind and Body Points digitally in-app

Ratings and reviews

Crashes almost every time I try to save. Crashes consistently when an ice gremlin steals an item and makes it off the map. Sound sporadically does not output. Party management is difficult or impossible. Would be fantastic if more effort were put in, but it's been years since release and the app still feels bare bones, broken, and unprofessional. Clearly not a priority for the developer.

The app is great for solo or group play if no one wants to be Zargon. The music and ui are pretty nice. I have one major complaint, though, and that is that the RNG for monster rolls is completely unbalanced. Enemies have a nasty habit of rolling all skulls far more often (>50%) than not. It's WAY too difficult when no hero has more than 2 defense. A human can not roll that accurately against such odds when the heroes have no new bonuses or weapons. I have to cheat just to stay alive.

As others have reported, the Veil of Mist spell doesn't work, and, just my opinion, the Zargon voice gets a bit annoying after you've heard it say, "The sKeLeToN has DiEd!" fifty times. The voice (Mentor) that reads the pre-quest is fine, it's just Zargon's voice that bugs me. Also on occasion, (particularly when I have bluetooth earbuds connected to my phone, which it refuses to play the game audio through for some reason) when you hit Save and Exit Quest, it just stares blankly at me forever

HeroQuest players, this update now includes the Expansion Quest Set: Against the Ogre Horde. Now digital Zargon can guide you through these additional adventures through the World's End mountains. But tread carefully my friends, the Dirgrusht Ogres are a strong but seclusive clan. And Zargon plans to manipulate them for his own evil purposes . Your ongoing adventures await!
