My policy renewal policy expired one day before I had a chance to renew. when i found time to look, one hour after policy was cancelled, Hastings wouldn't honour the renewal price. It cost me £40 more to renew with Hastings. I would have gone elsewhere, but the new policy was still competitive (hence got 2 stars), but I'm annoyed to be £40 down. Will look elsewhere next year if time permits.

For more than 6 months (more than half my policy period), I could not access my account through this app always having this message "sorry, we're having some technical problems so you won't be able to view your policy details currently ", every time I tried to. I reached out to their IT department but they failed to solve this. I could not make any amendments on my policy and no-one could do it either from their end. Disgusting. if there was any option to give half a star I would.

While I drive safely enough, the policy can be very critical at times. My biggest gripe is despite having the parking brake on, and engine switched off at a stop in a car park for example, I will be marked down for phone use, even when OUT of the car. While my score is already high enough, seeing it drop for using my phone in a perfectly valid situation is disheartening and misleading. The very first day I got this policy/app, I got a score of 15/100 despite the engine being off, which scared me
