USB Camera helps you view video from a compatible USB UVC camera or HDMI capture device on Android.
Connect an external video device, complete Android's camera and USB authorization prompts, and see the real video preview after the app receives a real first frame.
What you can do:
- Detect connected USB devices and identify UVC video candidates.
- Open a native UVC preview session for a compatible device.
- Choose full-frame display or proportional fill mode.
- Enter landscape fullscreen for a more focused monitoring view.
- Optionally show the received resolution, frame rate, and video format over the preview.
- Keep the screen awake while the app is in the foreground.
- Read connection help and privacy information in English or Simplified Chinese.
Permissions and privacy:
- Camera permission is used for the USB video preview flow.
- USB device access is requested by Android for the device you select.
- Settings such as display mode, screen-awake preference, preview parameters, and language are stored locally.
- Preview video is processed on the device. This version has no account, advertising, or analytics SDK and does not upload video.
- This version does not provide recording, filters, multi-camera control, SRT, or real RTMP/RTMPS streaming.
A compatible Android phone or tablet, USB OTG support, and a compatible UVC camera or HDMI capture device are required. Device support can vary by hardware, Android version, adapter, power, and video format. UVC detection does not mean every format is supported.
USB Camera provides a simple path from external video input to a real on-device preview.
