PocketForge IDE is a powerful code editor and web development workspace for Android. Open a file or a complete project, edit with desktop-style tools, preview your work, and use a local Linux terminal without needing root access.

Local Linux terminal
PocketForge includes an optional Alpine Linux terminal powered by proot. Install supported command-line packages, use multiple terminal sessions, run project scripts, and keep your mobile development tools close to your editor. Root access is not required.

Git and remote workflows
Work with Git repositories and connect to services you choose through SSH, FTP, SFTP, HTTP or compatible plugins. Network features run only when you configure and use them. Review the privacy and security practices of each remote service before sending files or credentials.

Extensible workspace
Install optional editor plugins for language support, themes, formatting, previews and other development workflows. Plugin availability and third-party network behavior can vary.

Your projects stay under your control
Local files, source code, file names, paths, terminal text and preview content are not added to advertising requests. Files leave the device only when you deliberately use a remote, sharing or upload feature.

Fair ad experience
The free Google Play edition contains banner ads and frequency-capped interstitials shown only after eligible actions are completed. Core editing, opening, saving, previewing and terminal use are never locked behind an ad. An optional rewarded ad starts a 50-minute focus coding session; it does not grant ad-free time. PocketForge has no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Privacy choices are available in Settings when required in your region.

Worldwide language support
PocketForge follows the device language automatically and includes localized interface resources for 31 locales. Unsupported locales fall back to English.

Open-source foundation
PocketForge is built from open-source software. License and attribution notices are included in the app and distribution package. PocketForge requires Android 8.0 or later. Some terminal packages, plugins and remote services require an internet connection and may have their own terms.
