About this app

Quire is a reader for books you already have.

Point it at a file or a folder and it builds you a shelf: EPUB, PDF, CBZ and
CBR, all in one place, all stored on your device. There is no account to
create, no store to browse, and nothing to subscribe to.

A PAGE, AND NOTHING ELSE
The reader is deliberately quiet. No toolbars hovering over the text, no
banners, no badges — just the page, with a slim progress bar along the bottom.
One tap brings up the settings; one tap puts them away again.

MAKE IT READ THE WAY YOU LIKE
Font, size, line spacing, margins and page colour are all yours to set, and
they carry across every book. Highlight a passage, attach a note to it, and it
will still be there next time you open the book — along with the page you
stopped on.

A SHELF THAT LOOKS AFTER ITSELF
Import a book and Quire fills in what it can: cover art, the blurb, the
publication year and a genre or two. Search your shelf by title or author,
filter by genre, and pick up whatever you had open from Continue Reading.

LIGHT, DARK, OR NEITHER
Follow your phone's theme or pin it to light or dark. The reader keeps its own
page colours, so a dark interface does not force a dark page.

BUILT TO BE LEFT ALONE
Everything lives on your device. There are no adverts, no tracking, no
analytics and no sign-in. The only time Quire goes online is to look up cover
art and descriptions for the books you have imported — and it works perfectly
well if you never let it.
A calm, offline reader for the EPUBs, PDFs and comics you already own.
