I was drawn to Readest for the built in edge TTS, which sounds great. Much better than the default android TTS. I love the app, and I'm impressed with the functionality. Negatives: I'd love for the pages to turn along with the TTS. Currently, the book only catches up to TTS at the start of a new chapter. Also the app frequently crashes after exiting to another app and returning.

This is perhaps my favorite eBook reading app. It's not the most intuitive but it crams in a lot of functionality in a clean way. It also has one of the best TTS features. This latest version 0.9.71 seems to have broken the Edge TTS voices, which unfortunately are the best voices available. If your phone has other TTS engines, those probably will still work. I'm hoping for a fix to the edge TTS voices.

Best free reading app ever. Finally replaced my dopamine spikes from social media with reading. Synchronization is very easy to setup and costs nothing to have up to 500 MB synchronized. If you ever need more there are subscription and even lifetime options that are both priced incredibly generously. Thank you devs! You are the best!!!
