About this app

If you have ever wondered what is actually going on when your dog barks, this app tells you what it hears: the type of sound, how excited they are, the pitch, the roughness and the length. The whole analysis runs inside your phone and the recording never leaves it.

How it works

Tap the paw and record the bark. As soon as the recording stops, the app places the sound in one of three families: a bark, a growl, or a long call, which is the howl and whine family. Alongside it you get the measurements pulled out of the sound itself: arousal, liveliness, pitch, roughness, duration. If two families come out too close to call, it does not guess, it says so. No microphone handy? Try one of the built-in sample barks.

What you will not find here is a dog translator that puts sentences in your dog's mouth. The reason is simple: there is no reliable way to read intent from a dog's voice, so we do not pretend otherwise. Everything you see comes from measurable properties of the sound.

The diary

Every recording lands on that day's timeline. The daily summary shows how often they spoke up, and the day's pulse shows when: morning, midday, evening or night. You can add your own note to any entry.

Health radar

Once enough recordings pile up, the app learns what normal sounds like for your dog and quietly points out the drift: is vocal activity up over the last 14 days, has the pitch moved, how many night calls between 02:00 and 05:00, are the long calls becoming more frequent. These are observations, not diagnoses. If something looks off, it builds a ready-made sound and behaviour summary you can show your vet.

Chat

Pick a phrase and let your dog hear it. What comes out is real dog audio, not synthesised: the library is licensed through Freesound and every clip is credited by name inside the app.

Everyone in the house

If you live with more than one dog, each one gets their own profile: name, breed, age, sex, weight, photo and your notes. The diary, the health radar and the measurements are kept separately for each of them.

Your data stays yours

Recordings, photos and the diary live on this phone only. No audio, photo or note is ever sent to a server, and because the bark analysis runs on the device, it works without an internet connection. There is no account to create. Anonymous usage events, such as which screens open, are collected so we can see where the app trips people up; those events never include your dog's name, sound, photo or notes. You can erase everything in one tap.

English and Turkish. Six colour themes, light and dark. It asks for microphone access to record, and camera or photo access if you want a profile picture. Nothing else.
