Sarman is a cat translator and meow decoder that runs entirely on your phone. Record your cat's meow, see what mood the sound points to, keep a cat diary of how your kitty sounds day to day, and talk back with real recorded cat sounds. No ads, no subscription, and no audio ever leaves your device.

Most cat translator apps upload your recordings and ask for a subscription before you hear anything. Sarman does neither. Every meow is analysed on your phone, offline. No ads. No subscription. No account.

WHAT IT DOES

• Listen — record a meow and see the read: mood, confidence, pitch, roughness. When the app isn't sure, it says so instead of guessing.

• Talk back — tap a phrase and your cat hears a real recorded cat call matched to that intent. Greetings get a chirrup; "dinner time" gets an insistent food-context meow. Real cats, not synthesised beeps.

• Cat diary — every meow you keep becomes an entry. Over days you get a picture of your cat's language instead of a single guess.

• Trends — Sarman learns your cat's normal and quietly flags when things drift: more vocal than usual, restless stretches, night calls. It never names an illness and never diagnoses. It gives you something concrete to mention to your vet.

• Teach it your cat — label a few of their sounds and the read gets sharper for that individual. Cats differ; a general model only goes so far.

• More than one cat — separate profiles, separate diaries, separate baselines.

HONEST ABOUT WHAT THIS IS

Nobody can translate cat language into sentences, and any pet translator that promises that is selling you something. What can be done, and what Sarman does, is measure the acoustics of a meow — duration, pitch, how the pitch moves, roughness, harmonic structure — and map that onto the contexts that research has actually recorded. Sarman shows its confidence and abstains when the signal is too weak to call.

Sarman is not a veterinary device and does not diagnose. If something feels off with your cat, talk to your vet.

PRIVACY, PLAINLY

Your cat's recordings, photos, name, diary and notes never leave your phone. The sound model ships inside the app and runs offline — there is no account and no server to send anything to. One tap in Settings erases everything, for real.

The app does send anonymous usage and crash reports: which screens get opened, whether an analysis succeeded or was rejected, and a stack trace when something breaks. These never contain audio, photos, cat names or notes. That is the whole of it, and the privacy policy says the same thing in the same words.

WHERE THE CAT SOUNDS COME FROM

The calls your cat hears are published, openly licensed recordings of real cats, chosen to match the intent of the phrase you tap. Sources are credited inside the app.
