About this game

How many flags do you actually know? Fun with Flags asks you that question 193 times.

Every member state of the United Nations is in here, from the ones everybody recognises to the ones that turn a confident guess into a coin flip. Chad or Romania. Monaco or Indonesia. Slovenia, Slovakia or Russia. You will find out quickly which side you are on.

SINGLE PLAYER
Ten flags, thirty seconds each, three difficulties. Answer correctly and you score 100 points; answer fast and you score up to 100 more. At the end you get your score out of 2000 and, more usefully, a list of exactly which flags you missed and what you picked instead. No account needed, no connection needed. It works on a plane.

ONLINE 1 VS 1
Queue up and get matched against another player at your rating. You both see the same flag at the same second, and the faster correct answer wins the round. Ratings use the Elo system, so beating someone better than you is worth more than beating someone worse.

If nobody is around, you are matched against a Ghost player: a recorded round from a real player, replayed at the speed they actually answered. It is labelled as such, never disguised as a live opponent, and it still counts towards your rating.

TRAINING
All 193 flags in one searchable list, with the names alongside. Search accepts the names people actually use, so "Holland", "Burma" and "Ivory Coast" all find the right country. This is where you go before a duel, not after.

STATISTICS
Games played, best score, accuracy overall and by difficulty, your win-loss record in duels, and a per-flag record of everything you have ever been shown. The flags you keep missing are sorted to the top, which is uncomfortable and useful in roughly equal measure.

WHAT IS NOT IN HERE
No ads. No pop-ups asking you to rate the app. No energy bars, no timers that make you wait, nothing to buy. The app asks for no permissions at all.

Sign in with Google or an email address if you want online duels, the global ranking and your progress on more than one device. If you do not want any of that, tap "Continue as guest" and everything except the online mode works exactly the same.
