About this app

The HOTWORX application is indented for members of our HOTWORX Studio facilities. The purpose of this application is to encourage users to track their total amount of calories burned during a HOTWORX workout session, and to track their "1-hour after-burn." A HOTWORX workout is 40 minutes, and the after-burn is 1 hour. The total session time will capture the calories burned for a total of 100 minutes.

I can tell the app is a work in progress still (member since 2019). Very easy to navigate so I like that. As others have stated the bugs happen often as well as kicking out of the app. I like to check in on the leader board just to stay motivated to keep in the top 10. At random it seems at times to restart before the month has ended. I can also appreciate the sweat everywhere feature and still able to workout on the go from my phone, I'm in TX so workouts in the sun equals the sauna.

It works well with scheduling my sessions and all the options in it work well. It does crash from time to time but not frequently enough to be a hinderance. I looked forward to the app opening the door quickly but it takes forever to find the door to unlock that me typing in my eight digit pin is quicker. I would give it 4 stars if the app door unlock was instant. I have a Samsung s24 ultra for reference

If you only need to schedule your sessions, this app is fine. If you want to actually use it for any of the benefits they promise, it is worthless. Most of the time it doesn't calculate your calories properly. It crashes on my regularly and forgets all of my info and I have to start again. If you have already completed a session, it shouldn't allow you to complete it again. It is very easy to accidentally click on workout instead of Afterburn and then you lose all of your calories burned.
