Edited from 5* to 4* because I bought premium and already finished the combat story path in two weeks 😭 .. I just started playing today and this game is REALLY fun and effective. The music is good and the animations are cute. It gives you a choice to do farming or combat. I'm a combat girl. The card combat is really fun with good cards to build a deck with so far. For language learning, I'm REALLY enjoying it so far. It has flash cards and words are voiced, and it's repetitive enough to get it!

I find it so much easier to motivate me to want to open the app and go through the cards. I love that I can add new cards and how easy it is! My only suggestion would be to have an option of, for single words that are easy to identify, use a picture of the word and have me name it in the target language. (instead of "red -> rot", show a red square and make that "rot". or a pic of an airplane and have me click "flugzeug" instead of the word airplane.)

At first, I was skeptical. I didn't feel like I was learning. Now, I'm actually gaining a little bit of confidence. I don't know if it was recently implemented or if it just triggered after a certain point, but I absolutely love the pause screen that says wait and think about the translation, then click below to answer. It gives me time to think instead of just going on instinct. I miss a lot when I've got 2 letters juxtaposed, and it's annoying, but at least I get a pass on "a" and "á." Great!!
