About this app

Fire extinguisher servicing on your Android phone. Keep every site's register, walk the units, and hand the Responsible Person a BS 5306-3 service certificate before you leave.

Fire Safe is for fire extinguisher service technicians and the firms that employ them. Each premises is a site, and its extinguishers live there between visits, so you never re-type a register.

SIX DOCUMENTS

THE VISIT
• Start a visit and every unit on the site is listed, in the order you walk the building
• Tap a unit for its BS 5306-3 checks: tap to cycle pass, fail, not applicable
• Swipe right to pass a unit with every check ticked, or pass all remaining units at once
• Enter the measured and stamped mass and the app checks the ±5 % tolerance
• Record defects, actions, parts, recharges and a photo of the defect
• Condemned, missing and replaced units are handled properly, and a replacement unit is added to the register
• Mark the visit complete and every unit's next service dates move on by themselves

THE REGISTER
• Sites, areas and units with medium, capacity, rating, make, serial, dates and location
• Next due dates for basic service, extended service and overhaul, with the 20-year replacement flag
• Open defects carried over to the next visit until they are put right
• Import a register from a spreadsheet (CSV) and export one
• Minimum provision check against BS 5306-8, area by area

TAGS
• Give each unit a QR code and print a sheet of labels (Avery L7159)
• Write NFC stickers on phones with NFC
• Scan a tag to open the unit
• Read a unit's label with the camera to fill in make, medium, capacity, rating, serial and year

YOUR CERTIFICATES
• Your logo, your BAFE, FIA or IFEDA mark and your details on every certificate
• Choose the colour of the certificate headings
• Email the certificate to the Responsible Person, print it, or share it with any app
• Reminders 30 days before a site is due, and on the day
• Back up everything to a file and restore it at any time (a restore never deletes)
• Send finished visits to Mint Books as draft invoices

A working reference library is built in: types and colours, service intervals, minimum provision, lithium-ion and the law.

Sites, units, tagging, the provision check, the reference library and filling in a Monthly Visual Inspection are free. A subscription unlocks service visits and the other certificates, and lets you save, email, print and reopen any certificate, and print registers, log books and labels. Subscriptions renew until you cancel them in Google Play.
