for the price of the bird feeder/ camera it is great. I see a lot of complaints, but people just want to pay very little, but they want the item to be top of the line. The video on this camera is amazing, and the app has all the features you need. you have to pay extra for bird ID, but I don't need that. it was easy to assemble and mount, it connected to wifi immediately and does everything I want
We truly appreciate your feedback. It is very valuable to us, and we will continue working hard to improve the user experience.

The low ratings are well earned for this app. I got this as a birthday gift last month. The camera will not connect to wifi and I've wasted so much time with it, reinstalling the app, always having to manually connect and it never gets past the double beep after I scan the QR code. I work in IT so it's not me. Do yourself a favor and return the product before you even attempt this. FIX YOUR STUFF BIRDTY!!!! I'll be throwing mine in the damn trash!

We’re very sorry for the inconvenience. Please ensure you are using a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and entering the correct password (2.4G and 5G are separate networks).

I now see that others have the same problems I have with is app. No "visitors" were being recorded even when camera displays live stream because the app was not connecting to WiFi consistently. When I run the "check device network" test, sometimes it passes, but mostly it fails to connect to the network despite being only a few feet from the router. Too bad. I like the smart bird feeder concept, but will be returning this to Costco...which is exactly why I buy things like this there.

We’re sorry for the confusion. The network test checks cloud connectivity and may not reflect actual Wi-Fi—if live view works, you can ignore it.
If no visitors are recorded, please check Activity Notifications is not set to “Do Not Notify.” If it still doesn’t work, email service@birdty.com for help.
