The AI bird recognition on this app is a joke. It was actually good when it was Birdty, but that seems to have been bought out or taken over by Perchlens. I bought a 1-month subscription just to try it out... thank the goddess it had a 1-week free trial period. I cancelled it after only 3 days. It was identifying birds in Asia (I live in Denver) - misidentifying birds that Birdty had already ID'd - it was just awful. At least it was easy to cancel.

Simply does not work. It is always offline despite all of my troubleshooting. If you are reading this before buying the device, please look for a different device. The UI is so hard to use, and again, I CAN'T GET IT TO CONNECT. It is just an expensive bird feeder at this point.

have had birdty for 6 months and works as advertised. I thought it uninstalled itself until I figured out you changed the name to perchlens. I think a lot of complaints stem from distance to Wi-Fi router and not understanding it won't work with 5g. I do get a lot of false notifications when the wind is blowing due to trees moving etc. it does need an explanation about how to attach video to text or email. the format is not compatible with either of these.
