Chess Clock & Scorepad is a two-player chess clock on one phone. Put it on the table between you, tap your side after each move, and the other clock starts. It can also record the game: make each move on the board and the clock presses itself, then review the game or share it as PGN.
A CLOCK FOR OVER-THE-BOARD CHESS
- 15 ready time controls, from 1-minute bullet through blitz and rapid to the FIDE 90/40 + 30 classical control
- Fischer increment, Bronstein, and US delay, each timed exactly
- Multi-stage controls: the next stage's time arrives with the last move of the stage
- Save up to 12 controls of your own, with names
- Handicap: give the stronger player less time
- The press registers the moment your finger lands, like slapping a real clock
- Low-time warnings at 5 min, 2 min, 1 min and 30 s, and a red face when a flag falls
- Pause, take back a mis-press, or add time while the clock is paused
- A sideways table layout, with the faces turned toward each player
A SCORESHEET THAT KEEPS ITSELF
- Play clock only, clock and scoresheet, or scoresheet only
- Tap a piece, then its square. Only legal moves can be made, and the clock presses itself
- Each face shows captured pieces and the material lead
- The opening is named as you play, from the public-domain lichess opening list
- Automatic draws by fivefold repetition and the 75-move rule; draws by agreement and resignation ask first, so one slip can't end the game
REVIEW AND SHARE
- Step through any game move by move, turn the board, and see a chart of the time each move took
- Mark moves and add comments, saved in standard PGN notation
- Share or copy a game as PGN, with each move's clock time included, or open it for analysis on lichess
- Export every game as one PGN file, or import games from a file or the clipboard (lichess and chess.com exports)
YOUR GAMES STAY ON YOUR PHONE
- History by month, with totals and a head-to-head record for two named players
- No account and no sign-in. Games leave the phone only when you share or export them
- The clock pauses when the phone goes to the background, and a game reopens on the same move
MADE FOR THE TABLE
- Four board themes: slate, walnut, tournament and marble
- Clock sounds you can turn off, and vibration
- Large digits, large text support and screen readers: a screen reader can play every move
FREE, WITH A SMALL BANNER
Banner ads appear on the home screen, in history, in review and in Settings. Never on the running clock or the scorepad. Nothing to buy.
